We were just fine As the world trembled and shook us We found happiness at the last minute and cherished it We were ignorant though Love was unkind and blind to us both You sit there angry with yourself and confused While I cry all night wanting you back But the truth is...... we're both gone

I recited a few poems and verses and you adored me I hugged you and kissed you passionately and you swore you fell in love I promise you the world..... and you were ready to be wed But when I told you my secret.... you never wanted to see me again

You look at me and you see my "perfect" smile                                           You glance at me and see my life becoming complete           You think I forgot about you But the truth is... There is a single piece of my heart left for you The last chip of my heart that I saved just for you to return to me

The brightest smile can only come from one The beauty of the sea The mermaid Only one human  may possess this beauty And that beauty lies within you

My heart beats fast every time I turn and notice you there I see you with your small perfect smile Trying to hide your beauty I look into your dark brown eyes and see nothing but love looking back at me But I cannot each you from my distance I cannot grasp your hands and let my heart tell you its secrets Everyday is a constant battle to find someone like you Someone I can share my love as I do with you

I wish to feel how the regular's feel Those warm soft hearts As they prance in the meadows But when I reach into my just My hand feels nothing As it passes through my empty soul

When you reach for my hand I begin to tense up When you look into my eyes My heart begins to beat faster When laugh with that beautiful chuckle I begin to melt And when you lean forward for a kiss My soul merges with yours

Do you enjoy my company I consistently destroy your world and you constantly claim that we will be together forever I unintentionally shatter your heart into pieces yet you smile at me and say you want me I abuse your loyalty and you still wish to discuss our future together I gave you nothing in return as you struggle to give me the world I took your heart away from you.... yet you still yearn to love me

As you look beyond the mountain And gaze past the stream You discover a treasure that would be worthwhile Then you see a small man Reaching towards the treasure He slightly passes his fingers on the box Wanting to open it But can't Because there is no key to the heart of his lover

I saw you that fateful day when you were crying           I walked up to you and told you not to fret You would be okay In my arms You smiled as I put my arms around you and lay a kiss on your cheek Although I knew the consequences of our future existence together And you understood that our pasts would collide and our love would be tragic..... We still managed... with all our difficulties We rushed it so we could feel everything we needed Our goals are now accomplished As I still see you in the same spot crying And as I continue to walk towards you
